Mischief & mastication
In a wacky office in central London, the Nerd Pirates did what we do best: creative mischief.
Acting as all-round marketing wizards, we worked our magic on a series of Bompas & Parr products and events, providing everything from copy, script writing, photography, conference materials, and research.
THE COMPLETE HISTORY OF FOOD
We produced research, exhibition text, and scripts for performance artists at Bompas and Parr's 'The Complete History of Food'.
'TCHOF' was a unique dining experience spanning across five floors of a Belgravia embassy. Visitors embarked on a delicious romp through 730 years of food and drink.
All 2,000 tickets sold out within seven days, and media-coverage of the event reached over 110 million people.
BOMPAS & PARR
We completed extensive research on 'Food and Drink in Space' for the 2011 publication, 'Cocktails with Bompas and Parr' - a collection of cocktail recipes, alcohol-inspired anecdotes, and historical drink-based nuggets which 'Chilled Magazine' named 'the ultimate guide to [...] fascinating concoctions'.
INDIANA JONES & THE DINNER OF DOOM
As part of the 'Taste-O-Rama' project, we helped to produce some of the initial research and conference notes used in the development of the 'Indiana Jones and the Dinner of Doom'. Guests were invited to an interactive screening of 'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom' in which visitors were served Indie-themed meals (including mock chilled monkey brains!)
We formed part of the product photography team which photographed Bompas and Parr's 'Occult Jam' (The Surreal House exhibition, The Barbican).
